The Air Transat pilot group has a proud history spanning over 37 years. Founded in 1986, Air Transat made its inaugural flight on November 14, 1987, between Montreal and Acapulco aboard a Lockheed L-1011. Air Transat pilots joined ALPA in 1999 and currently have over 760 pilots based in Montréal, Qué., and Toronto, Ont. Air Transat pilots provide scheduled transportation for more than 2.5 million passengers annually to nearly 60 destinations in 30 countries. The fleet currently includes A321 and A330-200/300s.
